Our Impact

Serving the Community

Between Hope and Humanity was formed to provide an array of support services to homeless, marginalized, and otherwise economically disadvantaged populations. We serve as a linkage to care and core networking liaison for social, emotional, physical, spiritual, occupational, and environmental health. As an incubator for total wellness, we also provide prevention education and training to the community at large. In an effort to lower the rates of diabetes, hypertension, and memory loss and reducing the need for long-term medical care and pharmaceutical treatment plans; we serve as facilitators of positive emotional, social well-being while teaching and facilitating principles of holistic spiritual health and creating lifestyle transformative outcomes.

Our Programs & Partnerships

Between Hope and Humanity delivers support services to homeless, marginalized, and economically disadvantaged communities. Some of our programs include:

  • Food & Groceries Giveaways

    • H.O.P.E. Project (Helping Others Passionately Everyday): H.O.P.E. Project in partnership with Life Ministries aims to reduce the harmful outcomes of food deserts in low income communities of South Los Angeles. Providing outreach support services to both active and disabled seniors, including those who are homebound and physically challenged. We serve as advocates and facilitators of programs designed to provide emotional, mental, and social service support, where needed to older adults and veterans of foreign war. With the help of medical experts, we’re able to deliver training and educational services that focus on self-care, health & wellness, and transformative lifestyles that can potentially change the trajectory of life-threatening chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart ailments, and memory loss which afflict marginalized communities.

    • Weekly Senior Food Program

    • Annual Holiday Food Drive

  • Clothing Giveaways

    • Keeping Sistahs Warm – Cold Weather Project: When the temperature drops as a result of cold weather, homeless women and foster care teens desperately need the type of support we provide. Sponsored by Twelve Sistah Friends and in partnership with Circle of Women Inc., we joined together to provide coats, sweaters, luggage, duffle bags, and toiletries to homeless women and teens from foster care.

Our success is in part due to the generosity of our community partnerships with faith-based organizations, corporations, and food sponsors.

If your company or organization would like to be a community partner and donate or sponsor one of our programs, please contact us at bmaull@betweenhopeandhumanity.org.
